I'm Back!
After a disappointing season last year in the office football pool, I'm back. I dominated this week with a 14-2 record. I was actually kicking myself for the two games I missed, because those were the two I changed when I reviewed my picks. Not only does this fatten my wallet a little, but puts me in the running for the year end pool. This is the year. Unless I let this all go to my head and tank the rest of the year.

You want to know what I like about your blog, Bradford? Most blogs (especially so-called "music blogs," which mine, for the record, is not), are discretely self-centered. In other words, they are posing as the humble saviors of indie-rock and volunteer promoters of all that is cutting edge, but in reality, they are not offering mp3's for the sake of helping the artists, they just want to be recognized as as the blogger with the hippest mp3's.
You, on the other hand, leave no guesswork as to the motivation behind this blog. It is about you, and you only. Assuming that your high score on Castlevania will satisfy the daily thirsts of dozens of loyal followers is arrogance to the point of endearment. If I could get this many hits just talking about myself, I probably would too.
Funny thing is I first started this blog with the aspirations of being a hip music and multimedia blog. For some reason people like the stories. I have no idea why people keep coming back.
Because we're all sick and tired of hip music and multimedia blogs...
Only so many blogs can relentlessly pimp Sufjan Stevens, Cat Power, Tapes N' Tapes, Band of Horses and Clap Your Hands and Say Yeah before the rest of just stop giving a damn. The way I see it, the music blogs put those bands on the map and they're slowly but surely wiping them off.
